N/S Vikes could play 2011 season outside [title edited] (1 Viewer)

Not sure how the NFL will feel about them playing next year at the TCF Bank Stadium since it only seats 50k. Quite a few owners are already unhappy with the Vikings and the revenue they generate at the Metrodome. This could mean the Vikings are one step closer to movinf to LA unless a new stadium deal is done this off season.

Sure they could play the 2011 season outside....in the USC stadium until their new stadium is built in Los Angeles

If they want open air why don't they just take the roof panels off instead of replacing them? Wouldn't that work?

Xpuma20x: The Vikings are under a lease until after the 2011 season, so if they are going to play the 2011 at TCF Bank Stadium one of two thing will have to happen; either the MN legislature will have to approve a new stadium (assumably on the site of the Metrodome) or the Metrodome will have to be deemed un-repairable which I highly doubt will happen since it will be about 8 months before the season starts.

reading jeff duncan's book... the latter is exactly what Benson tried to pull after Katrina struck... and Tags would have none of it

Why not just rip off the roof of the metrodome, and weatherize everything inside?
