Not sure how the NFL will feel about them playing next year at the TCF Bank Stadium since it only seats 50k. Quite a few owners are already unhappy with the Vikings and the revenue they generate at the Metrodome. This could mean the Vikings are one step closer to movinf to LA unless a new stadium deal is done this off season.

Thanks for the info. Still seems it would be cheaper to modify than to build new, but I guess everyone wants a JerryWorld now.

Xpuma20x: The Vikings are under a lease until after the 2011 season, so if they are going to play the 2011 at TCF Bank Stadium one of two thing will have to happen; either the MN legislature will have to approve a new stadium (assumably on the site of the Metrodome) or the Metrodome will have to be deemed un-repairable which I highly doubt will happen since it will be about 8 months before the season starts.

The Metrodome was never designed to be outdoors, there is no drainage for rain / snow.
