Nebraska: It's not for everyone (1 Viewer)

Nebraska has its good and bad. Since I actually live there I'll explain.

Good- we are higher than sea level
Bad- it snowed on October 14th
Good-No hurricanes
Bad- IT SNOWED ON OCTOBER 14TH!!!
Good-cost of living is cheap
Bad-the cost of flying from the middle of no where is expensive
Good-Fresh COW
Bad-not so fresh sea food
Good-CWS in Omaha
Bad - Nearest NFL facility is 3.5 hours away
Good - No Atlanta fans
Bad- I'm probably one of only two saints fans that live here
Good- crime is low
Bad- I'm a major suspect when crime happens...lol
Good - Summer
Bad- Winter

No matter where you live you have to take the good with the bad.
And that slogan ....... That's BAD!

If I had a chance to do the slogan it would be this

NEBRASKA.......It Snows on October 14th!
how about:
NEBRASKA: for the last time. I didn't do it

I know , I was just being funny.
well...nebraska funny

I will now have to check this place out. And the Badlands.
badlands & blackhills are legit awesome
i've never been to yellowstone or grand canyon, but if i was rating attractions in the US:
Redwood forest
Oregon coast
Black Hills/Badlands
Blue Ridge/Smokey Mountains
Cascade Mtn
Lake Tahoe
Gauley river/ WV
Hudson Valley
(can't really rate swamp area or piney woods area since those are 'home')

my favorite part of Badlands trip was my friend and i saw helicopter rides for fairly cheap, so were like "why not"?
get in a small helicopter and the guys just start ascending - i'm thinking :why do we just keep going up? getting harder to see stuff"
right about the time i'm getting ready to say something, the pilot just steers the helicopter into a dive and the Badlands are approaching us with great alacrity
obviously we didn't crash, but those few seconds of the Badlands are seared into my memory

My son enjoyed his year-long stint at Tyson Foods Neb. We declined to visit and check it out cause......Omaha.

I imagine Nebraska as a whole state of eastern Montana from Fort Peck to Roundup. In other words little towns, miles and miles of fields on mind numbing flat land. In other words no reason to go there.

We sure enjoy hosting the College World Series and all of the LSU fans!
