LSU Gymnastics Never knew collegiate gymnastics were this ruthlessly competitive...

LSU got the win over the Sooners tonight, but sadly they lost one of their starters to an apparent Achilles injury in warmups prior to the start of the competition. šŸ˜¢
Chase Brock. Luckily they have depth because while not an all-arounder, Chase is a solid part of the lineup. Sadly, as a fifth year senior, looks like that's how her career will end.

I missed the meet, but happy they pulled it out. What is going on with Aleah this season?

I mean, that pass I was talking about is awesome! I feel like her gymnastics is awesome this season after repping the Phillipines in the Oympics. So it's almost like she's too explosive and can't harness it sometimes .... if that makes sense.

Our ladies travel to Kentucky this Friday. SEC channel starting at 6 p.m.

Chio is going to be an all-around champ one day.

These judges are terrible.

How is it that LSU beat the #1 squad in the country and actually drop in the polls...?

It goes by NQS scores, not WHO you beat. It's kind of nuts.

This Friday is Podium Challenge which they won last year. It's LSU "at" George Washington held in BR at Raising Cane's River Center at 6:30. SEC Network +

Well that doesn't make much sense. :covri:
In football, WHO you beat is generally what determines the rankings and is often the difference between making the playoffs or not.
Gymnastics better get with the program. :hm:

The Sooners just smoked the Gators with their first score over 198 so their average will go up. And the Gators scored only a 196.625 -- and didn't win ANY of the rotations (a fall from bars by Anya Pilgrim with a possible injury, an injury from Sloane Blakely on floor who had a 10 last week, and two falls on beam) -- so the 5th rank Florida will be going down .. and down, possibly. Though they do have some depth.
