New Orleans may have played a part in the Atlanta SB choke (2 Viewers)

I was wondering if Belichick picked SP's brain at some point the last 2 weeks. They have a good relationship and I would expect he would talk to SP a little since we play them twice a year.

.

Also...

It's almost like NE channeled Ali and played Rope-A-Dope with Atlanta's D.

By the time the 4th qtr came along, Atlanta's D was worn out - esp since Atlanta's O was pitiful in not using up some of the clock to give the D some rest.

The game basically came down to a forgettable play. After recovering the onside kick the Falcons tried to run Freeman outside. He lost one yard. Shanahan immediately abandoned the run and had Ryan start flinging it. A sack and holding call took them out of field goal range. The rest is history.

Actually those were after the Julio Jones catch. After the onside kick they went 3 and out and punted, then NE got the ball and drove for a FG.

The Saints (week 17) and Patriots both outscored the Falcons by a score of 19-0 in the 4th quarter to make what should've been blowouts very tight games.

1 did actually end with a L for the Falcons
