NFL Round 1 Mock Draft #1: Picks 1-16.. (1 Viewer)

Wouldn’t the fear be greater? Wentz was an MVP candidate until his injury. I think the pressure of them getting their guy is at an all time high. These dudes literally didn’t win one game this past year. They have the ammunition to get good skill position players after that #1 pick.

We're almost to the point where we can just assume the Browns will take the wrong guy. A guy might distance himself from the pack and be the clear #1, and because they're the Browns 4 other QBs will be pro bowlers from this class and their guy will be out of the league in 4 years. I'm kidding around, but their luck has been atrocious.

The Colts have spent a ton of picks on OL. I think it came together a bit last season, and the really did a pretty decent job protecting Brissett. I'd be surprised if Nelson went to them. My thoughts would be Fitzpatrick or Chubb.. I comped Chubb to Bosa, but I don't consider him that polished coming out. Again, my thoughts on Barkley may not fall in line with NFL FOs. But I'll legitimately be shocked if Barkley makes it to 4.

While the Colts ,are have spent draft choices on offensive linemen, none are the caliber of Nelson. I like the Chubb pick with Hooker and Quincy Wilson already in house.

I agree , they are the Browns.

Wouldn't it be something if the Browns didn't take a QB with either of their first 3 picks?

First of all, they should do everything in the world to land Cousins. Record breaking contract... whatever. Then use their first 2 picks to grab blue chip players. Can also grab a day one starter with their next 2 picks. They have the cap room and the picks to make one of the biggest single season turn-a-rounds ever... Hell, tell Cousins they'll let him help chose the first 2 picks if he signs. What QB wouldn't love that?

Bringing a rookie QB into that mess might ruin him regardless of what his potential is. They need more than just a QB. Chubb? Fitzpatrick? Barkley? Nelson? They could have any 2 of these guys they want if they don't go QB. Chances are, they'll pick high enough again next year anyway to get their guy even if they can't land a FA franchise QB. Heck, bring Tyrod in as a stop gap. Whatever.

This also could be why nobody's calling me to be their GM, but still...

Think this years draft will have the most "Franchise" QBS.... so it would be a shame if the Browns missed out on their selection.....

No I'm actually with you. Franchise QBs in their prime don't hit FA. The Browns have all the money in the world. Throw it at Cousins. Then draft Barkley 1st. They already have a star studded o-line and dynamic weapons in Gordon/Coleman/Njoku, they just haven't had the QB or RB to do the job.

clev. needs a mental makeover way more than talent. They should go mayfield at some point. He sounds like he has a big dose of the first and enough of the 2nd. I would pair him up with the best wr avail. in the first. After that draft the blocking and pick up a rb in free agency or 4th 5th round draft wise.

Browns need to draft Mayfield, who would tell all the Cleveland QB killers "screw you, I', playing my way". :hihi:

Rosen is like that too, sort of has the Cutler vibe.

Since 2007 the Browns have had 18 (?) first round picks (including this year). That is insane that these guys keep losing. They should just close up shop. I hate the Browns.

I know they are the browns, with a history dating back blah blah blah but part of me genuinely thinks their losing and mismanagement is in part due to their lame team name and color scheme. They are by far the ugliest jerseys and helmets and team name to look at. Re-brand that whole franchise and start fresh.

At this point, personally, i'd be trying anything..
