No trade before deadline for a wr (1 Viewer)

We tried. Hard.

Schefter said we made a big run at AJ Green. Tried to get Emmanuel Sanders, but we didn't have the draft capital SF did.

Unless you wanted to give up a 1, not much you can do.

I remember being upset when the Whiners got Emanuel Sanders. I believed he'd be a good fit here. And then he killed us in our game! Oops. Just saw your post.

This was truly a big reason for our demise this year. Ted Ginn and Trequan Smith not cutting it.
Brees can't hit Ginn deep anymore without a big risk, and that is really Ted Ginns only game. Hands aren't good enough for contested/possession work.

Saw Ginn with deep separation a few times this year and Drew didn't pull the trigger. He can get some distance but not as zippy unless he can have all day to wind up and step into it....DBs have chance to close.

If you go back a couple years even when Drew was still trying deep throws, Ginn had to slow up and wait on the ball even then.

A new deep threat WR may not have mattered as much as another solid possession threat.

The deep ball is dead for now unless they try it with Teddy or Taysom.

And tgat raises tough questions about whether you try again with Brees.

Harris had to wait on Taysoms long ball too....................Drew just needs to throw it earlier and let them go get it!

You had to sign Emmanuel Sanders.

That was a disaster any way you slice it.

Our front office failed, no matter what excuses you try to come up with.

Y'all gonna be watching Emmanuel Sanders catching passes in the Super Bowl. That's a guarantee.

Hope your kidding. After 25 yards, drew isn’t hitting the side of a barn.
Look it’s truth.

Drew can still do a lot but that game is dead.

might be time to think hard.
