Now that Allen is gone FIRE SALE! Trade ERRBODY! Stockpile Picks! (1 Viewer)

Chase Young is the exact same player he was when the 9ers gave up a conditional 3rd round pick for him last year. He hasn't been what we were hoping for but he has more value than some think.

X has been 🔥🔥🔥🔥 but agree, get what you can to rebuild for Lattimore and Young.

Let Lalos show what he can do and let the young guys in the secondary develop. I'm really keen on watching Payton and Jean Charles.

Exactly. I'm at the point where I root for us to lose every single game. Get better draft picks

I would be surprised if they trade Lattimore, with a $14m option bonus already paid to him for this year. It would be a sign that this team is really serious about starting over.

Chase Young makes more sense, we gave him a small signing bonus with most of his guarantees in the form of salary and weekly roster bonuses. An acquiring team would only need about $4.5m in cap space to bring him on, he is almost certain to be more talented than some of the backups that are getting extended playing time due to injuries.

I'm not sure who else is realistic to be shipped out, there are certainly candidates that we could move on from but none that would attract serious draft capital. Even the idea to ship out Jordan seems like a longshot because we would need to eat his $23m dead cap hit next year (versus splitting it up between 2025 and 2026 if he retires).

Ands reset the cap next season. Time to stop kicking the can!

Trade Lattimore, Young, Who else may fetch us some picks?
It's more complicated than you make it sounds because of void years on the players you could trade, but I am in favor of it philosophically.

I don’t know exactly what can be done. But I am tired of keeping older, underperforming or often injured players for big money. Honestly if we get in a new young coach who is going to do like Payton and bring in a youth movement, make the mistakes as we grow sort of thing I’d be all for it. But this tired old massively overpaid underperforming constant we’ve had is too much for me

I’ll bet they’re spending a lot of time fielding phone calls. TBH I really don’t see much possibility for trades with all the cap issues.

The idea that a player isn't worth trading for a 6-7 round pick is crazy. Especially for players who won't be coming back or are the wrong fit or are just bad. If you look at the draft calculators you can see that you need a healthy pool of late round picks to trade up.
If you can get a 6th or 7th for a player costing you 12 million a season and contributing very little it seems wise to trade that player for a potential player who makes only 3.9 million based on round value. It's part of the reason the team is a mess in that we are loaded with top value players who aren't worth the money.

Guess we’ll find out if Loomis can still Loomis

gonna take a couple years to eat the money, so whoever comes in people have to know its not gonna be a quick fix, next year will be as bad, unless they land an unbelievable talent at QB that carries them, like a jayden daniels. but are there any this draft?

who would want chase young at this point for more than a 7th? he has done nothing this year and no one wanted him in the offseason.. they have very little talent to trade off and the others have undesirable contracts to any team based on what they would be getting on the field. gonna take a couple seasons of eating money and fielding low level guys

I honestly don’t think many of you get it how things work.
