(NS) Defaults on Atlanta PSL's (haha - no surprise) (2 Viewers)

I hate to break it to you, but there are plenty of restaurants around Dallas where you have to buy a club membership to get a drink in the restaurant.

When was the last time that you visited Dallas? The unicard that used to be required to drink in "dry" counties doesn't really exist anymore. I haven't been asked for this in YEARS, since 2000 or so. There may be a few areas of a dry county somewhere outside of Dallas that may still require this, but this doesn't equate to "plenty".

Different situation. Those "club memberships" are used to circumvent dry laws.

Can make fun of them all we want, but if PSLs were introduced here, you could expect the same. I'd never pay for it.
Yeah, the difference being, I doubt $30,000,000 worth of PSL's would be bought and then defaulted on after the first year.

PSL's are so stupid and would never work in New Orleans. We've got a waiting list of 50,000+ for seats. Why on earth would they ever think that a PSL would make that list longer?

PSL is kind of very dumb, but let’s not act like Saints fans trying to sell season tickets don’t charge you for “rights.”
That's the secondary market and the ticket holder's right. Two totally different things.

This! I've lived in the Dallas area for almost 20 years and I have never been asked for a unicard.

Once the new stadium is ready, every business in L.A. is going to be buying tickets for Chargers games.
Keep in mind, the Rams were playing in a stadium that can hold 80-90k.
The Rams were only about 1.5k lower than the Saints in attendance.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/attendance

And in that chart it has the Chargers selling 31k seats in a 25k stadium.
That has to be paid attendance, not butts in seats. Miami is never close to full and Atlanta would be dead last on any attendance list.

If you net out the uncollectable PSL dollars, Atlanta might be last in paid attendance also

Not gonna lie. I put in for Row 28 seat 3 on the visitor's side. There's a waiting list.

No need to wait! This was the 2017 season opener against the Colts after their abysmal 4-12 “Return to L.A.” season. To make things worse, tickets were as low as $6.

They’re only going to go when they’re winning. Period. When Goff gets paid and they start stinking up the joint every week, it’ll be back to this.

In my opinion, only a few franchises can survive on the PSL model. The New York and L.A. franchises.
They have the perfect mixture of demand for tickets and businesses buying them. They won’t have to worry about not getting a sellout.

Considering most Rams games were 60-40 opposing fans in seats, I'd say they are just really good at reselling tickets.
This is the year following a late postseason run and a year in which they were in the super bowl.

Their fan attendance is embarrassing, especially considering how well the team performed.

I am kind of surprised any of their joker fans signed up in the first place. I would say they had "fair weather" fans, but in reality, they have no fans, just people who show up because they saw a few cars near the stadium and are bummed out when they get inside that it is was not a soccer game.

I assume most of the PSL's sold that are not in default were sold to corporate buyers.

"Falcons fans have defaulted on payments for thousands of personal seat licenses since Mercedes-Benz Stadium opened in 2017, essentially undoing about $30 million in sales, records show. "
