Can't go down 27pts. US gets an on-sides kick and fake punt, but was still not enough. US probably fielded kids who can't make a FBS college team, gave them 1 week to train/practice, and then expects gold.

Pretty impressive. Japan took it to them. They swarmed the ball and made great fundamental tackles. Good team speed.

USA could not stop the inside handoffs, delays, and draws. Right up the middle. LBs getting sealed off.

Are these articles/posts even serious?

Why would any serious American football athlete participate in this? It's just an invitation for meaningless injury. Not a chance the USA team could entice the best talent for such a tournament that no one's ever even heard of. Of course they will lose to other country's teams because those athletes have no forum to be noticed except that.

A lot of football comes down to discipline and fundamentals. Not a shocker that Japan has that in spades.

We couldn't win this for the same reason the rest of the world caught up with us in basketball and we couldn't win the Olympics with just college players.
