How about the New Orleans Hurricanes?.....I think that would be tight.

The truth is I'm not a huge fan(but I bought season tickets the 1st year) of basketball but what you suggested might actually spark more interest for me....Otherwise I'm not really into basketball...
 
All those are okay, but you need something that strikes fear in opponets, what better then a Hurricane....:9:
 
hornets is an alright name i guess, but colors gotta change. its not '88 anymore, teal is a horrible main color.

and the okc custom jerseys are the worst thing i have ever seen.
 
I'm not worried about OKC stealing the team...

I'm worried about the Hornets burning all of their bridges with New Orleans and not having a shot at legitimacy once they return.

I've kinda grown to like the Hornets logo. I've also become a huge fan. I just want them back in N.O. I'll be extremly angry if they decide to stay in Oklahoma. Oklahoma?.....come on now.

Im not a basketball fan, but my hopes from having a basketball team in New Orleans is that it Drives Tons of money from all the Home games coming into the city Constantly, NBA has More games home than NFL does, NBA Doesn't bring as large of a crowed but it brings consistant Tourist/croweds to any given City, I Support NEW ORLEANS More than Any of these Sports first.
I love my saints but if they ever leave I'll hate they're GUTS and never Cheer for them again and Sell my Jersey's for a nickle! in front of the New Saints Facility, Don't play with me!..

I love my city and everything about it, New Orleans just being mentioned Brings Dollars to the city, Now that we have Some Stars on this team that will increase the fan-base 2-fold, we should be Grasping even harder to this team, any games we get to the city should Sell out to show that team that we want them there.

I read that Lil Wayne and a Bunch of Local Rappers and Singers were at the last game, im VERY proud of that, Alot of players are Fans of These Rappers and singers, and They had the Oppertunity to proudly play in front of them, im glad to see Local Stars Stepping up and becoming fans of Local Sports franchises in New Orleans thats probably the best publicity you can get Local wise, Lil Wayne and other artist also mention Hornets and Saints in they're songs, These players listen to these songs and feel good playing for a city of star's that acknowledge them.

As for the Zephers, i um, umm, they aiight.
 
Why are you guys afraid of Oklahoma stealing a Professional Basketball team from one of the most popular Tourist Rich Spots? No one wants to go to Oklahoma for games, the people that i've talked to that are Hornets fans frown everytime they make a trip there, there's nothing there to do at all after the game is over, you go to your room, maybe find a bar in the boondocks somewhere and hopefully you get back to your hotel room after driving down those LOooOOooooooOOoooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOnnnnnggggg Country Pebble, Dirt and Cement roads safe and sound.

New Orleans Post Katrina is 100X better than Oklahoma without any storms.
Let Hornets use that city to suck money from those people, they couldn't get the support in new orleans before the storm and i think that organisation is using the scare tactic's that Benson used or will use them eventually, except in Hornets Case, "Everyone KNOWS they have to come back to New Orleans, they have no choice, They Must come back or they are gonna face getting Nailed Seriously in the pockets and will suffer Cap hell there after, And New Orleans wins regardless, Oklahoma Will most likely have Sonics soon since some owners in OKC just bought that team out.
 
i dont think the name will ever change.....the colors i dont kno, as long as shinn is in there dont expect any changes.......
