Rock’s biggest will-they-won’t-they finally has an answer: Oasis have announced that they will reunite for a 14-date tour of the UK and Ireland in 2025.

They will not, however, be headlining Glastonbury festival as was rumoured over the weekend, nor playing 10 dates at Wembley and the Etihad Stadium respectively.

Instead, the concerts will take place in July and August, at stadiums in Cardiff, London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. Tickets go on sale at 9am on 31 August, with prices to be revealed on the day.

A press release billed the dates as the “domestic leg” of the tour and said that “plans are under way” for it to go beyond Europe later in 2025.

Of the famously feuding brothers’ decision to reunite, the release stated: “There has been no great revelatory moment that has ignited the reunion – just the gradual realisation that the time is right.”

In a joint statement, the band said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”………

Oasis have announced the North American leg of their hugely anticipated 2025 reunion tour.

Following the news of a UK and Ireland tour in August – as brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher mended their once-bitter feud – the British rock band have now revealed that they will perform a string of shows in the US next summer.

The concerts will take place 16 years after their last performance in North America.

Oasis commented: “America… Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along.”On Saturday evening (29 September), the British rock band unveiled snaps of huge billboards in various locations around the world, with the strapline reading: “Be careful what you wish for.”……

A guy that I know that works in the industry fed me some leaked info about their prelim stops in North America. Looking like Toronto, Chicago, NY, Boston, LA, and Mexico City. This was a while back, after it was announced that the band will get back together for a tour.

Speaking of British bands, there was also speculation that The Smiths were offered a ton of money to get back together (minus bassist Andy Rourke, RIP and drummer Mike Joyce) and tour. Morrissey apparently agreed, while Marr declined. No surprise there.

Liam Gallagher has concerned fans who paid hundreds for Oasis reunion tour tickets after he revealed the length of time he plans to play for at each show this summer.

The long awaited reunion comes 15 years after the infamous backstage bust-up between Gallagher and his brother Noel, which saw the rock band split in 2009 after a fiery row in Paris.

Ticketmaster is currently being investigated over allegations that it deployed the so-called “dynamic pricing” model when Oasis tickets went on sale last year, with prices doubling from £148 to £355.

In a highly anticipated message, the band announced a run of 14 shows in the UK and Ireland next summer, with fans expecting an extensive set list filled with the Nineties rock band’s biggest hits.

However, ticket holders have now been left concerned the gig may be much shorter than they presumed when purchasing tickets, with Gallagher writing on X/Twitter the show would last “59 minutes 59 secs”.

Fans voiced their concerns on Reddit, but noted that Gallagher has long been known to wind users up online with fake announcements.

“I hope this isn’t real I will by flying from Florida to Chicago! Knowing Liam it probably isn’t,” one person wrote.

Meanwhile another user added: “No way they do anything under 2 hours after the prices they charged and the media hype. 30-40 minute Noel set to get them to 2 hours I bet.”

However, a third fan who previously saw Gallagher play added: “I would say he’s on a wind up but I went to a show where he played less than an hour. Maybe Noel can pick up hour 2.”…….

the price of an Oasis ticket seems to be a tax on people dumb enough to buy Oasis tickets

Meh. To me, just another forgettable pop band. Their tunes weren't bad, but nothing about them stood out as interesting.

Same here, they never really appealed to me, it's like "I've heard this before"....

Best band in my lifetime, personally.

They have a B side album (The Masterplan) that is better than a lot of bands greatest hits.

They never really cracked America, so I wouldn't expect anyone to feel the same way about them.

They spoke to me and most people I knew growing up. 2 brothers from a council estate that made it. They sounded different, had great songs, looked cool and didn't care what people thought.
Britpop was a movement, the last of it's kind, you were either Oasis or Blur.
The only thing comparable for you guys at the time I guess was East/West coast rap.
They definitely cracked US, but I believe they were widely viewed as more of a chick band. Of course, dudes will go along with almost anything if they are trying to get with a chick

I liked Supersonic and Falling Down. After that, ehhh.

Isn't one of the Gallaghers forever banned from flying Cathay Pacific?
