I like Daniel Jeremiah’s analysis a lot. Found this interesting.

It makes me wonder if they’re protecting Young bc of the OLine? Is it about the WRs not being able to get open deep?

One thing I feel like we do well is beat up on teams who try to play in a phone booth. Historically, where we’ve struggled early in the season is with miscommunication on big plays.

Also…with Young’s height, the DL needs to get their hands up and tip some passes. Cam Jordan is one of the best in the league at that.

They just don’t have the wide receivers to compete against a good secondary. I bet they will try to rely on the run vs us like they always have recently.

It’s only Bryce Young’s second game and I don’t expect him to light it up. If we stop the run and get an early lead we’ll be able to dictate what their offense can do.

Later in the season is a different story but I expect Young to struggle against our defense.

He will have to learn, in the NFL, a half step is "open" and trust his skill to throw the ball. If he hesitates, he done.

I would look for them to take an early shot but if our DBs play like they did Sunday, could be long night for Young.

I think this article is more of a testament for Atls D. Than it was that BY is a rookie. We struggled vs ATL last year. We stole the game in the fourth quarter. For 3.5 quarters we deserved to lose. So we’ll have our hands full with both teams. Especially Carolina LB Brian Burns, will play like Arden Key did, and press Penning. He’s considered one small tick under the best in the league.

For 3.5 quarters we cut the field down on ourselves. The key to playing in division opponents is to show them something that they haven't seen for the last 7 years

That's why atlanta was successful offensively against us in game 1....we never seen them play a run heavy smash you in the face offensive game

If the O-line can protect better, we will beat Carolina.

It's a big game. A divisional opponent on Monday Night Football to start a five-game stretch of four of five games on the road. We really need this one.
We get curb stomped there lately, if we win this game I will truly think we are otw to a special season. Meaning division win and a playoff win. I’d be ecstatic.

Burns will be a problem and if I’m them I line him up over Penning all day.

FYI:
Panthers placed G Brady Christensen (biceps) on injured reserve.

Carolina’s offensive line was ravaged by injuries in the team’s Week 1 loss to the Falcons. Bryce Young was pressured on 46 percent of his drop backs against Atlanta — the fifth highest rate among QBs in Week 1. He was sacked twice. Young could be in for a long day against the Saints in Week 2.

I’m a little worried about the refs. MNF and the league wants Bryce Young to do well. Hopefully we are up by a few scores so we don’t have to worry about it!

If there was an option to bet which team will get the most amount defensive holdings, I would make a lot of money!
