Official Wrasslin' Thread (renamed to reflect the discussion)

New Day killing it during the break. Claiming they're walking out of Mania as tag champs.

This crowd sucks

I'm going to make a prediction: we are in the early stages of the end of this boom period for WWE. There's a major cool down coming.

The honeymoon period of Triple H taking over is very much done. Lots and lots of complaining about how boring, stagnant, and repetitive his shows are now. Lots of complaining that the major stars are barely wrestling on the weekly shows anymore, that the entire year is centered around Wrestlemania making everything feel like it's in a holding pattern, that even this year's build to WM has felt bad, ao many things ending in brawls aecurity breaks up, etc.

Then you have the ticket prices which continue to go up and up. Lots of people online complaining about what thryey paid for that Raw yesterday and how garbage a show it was, no Scottish talent, etc. The crowd was dead which for an international crowd is pretty notable.

The initial excitement for the Cena heel turn seems to have faded. He's just cutting "you people" promos now. I saw someone say they it feels more like Cena vs the Crowd then Cena vs Cody.

The chatter has turned much more negative about the product lately. I get it. I'm way less interested in the product now. The booking is coherent but so very boring and so decompressed it feels like Raw is just there to fill airtime, not actually advance anything.

I certainly don't think two promos to explain a 20+ year heel turn in the making is anywhere close to overdoing/overexplaining things. That said, I have seen plenty of Youtube comments complaining about the lack of Cena vs. Cody feel to the WM feud. Plenty of people are wondering why Cena is holding back and not cutting into Cody verbally, and very understandably so. Like I posted here after their first face-to-face, I felt it was right for Cody to have the last word and sort of leave with the upper hand after he took the beatdown at EC. But I, probably like everyone else, was expecting Cena to retaliate personally toward Cody in encounter two.
