Olave Is On Pace For Back To Back 1,000+ Yard Seasons (1 Viewer)

He should really really be getting 1500 yards and 8-10 TDs regularly with several monster games a year. Unfortunately our offense is bad.
Roughly 1300 yards is probably a good benchmark, that’s a little over 75 yards per game. Around 10-15 receivers per year hit that 75/game mark (total includes TE’s like Kelce). This year 15 receivers are on pace, Olave isn’t one of them.

He could hold out and go to the press with stories of just how bad things are inside the Saints organization. He could easily make it impossible to keep him. It would hurt him image wise in the short term but what would be worse - wasting your best years on a team that is going to be bad for years or looking like a spoiled diva by forcing your way out? All the bad image stuff would be instantly forgotten after another 1,000 yard receiving season with his new team. Olave would be a household name in a bigger market. Teams would be lined up to trade for him.
There was a brief era in which this worked for wide receivers, and thank heavens that era is over.

He would if he had a better than 60% catch rate.
And he'd have a better catch rate percentage if he wasn't having to make acrobatic attempts to catch balls that were thrown out of bounds.

He worked 💪 hard in the offseason to get stronger to compete for the contested catch. No fumbles yet which is good.

He should have worked out with The Ringling Brothers to improve acrobatic ability and WWE to learn how to not land on your head when thrown out of the ring. lol

He's missed plenty that didn't require acrobatics, but it's a good narrative to keep up.

He has an issue with contact whether it be with the defender or the ground. Not every WR is okay with contact and he's one of them.

Yeah I agree with that. Almost like the Brandon Cooks style getting down to avoid the big hit. In the long run that could serve him well. Cooks has been pretty good with 10 years in the league so far.

True, but there's something off with him since he's on his 5th team in that time. Teams are okay with his production, but there's something off/missing and they always move on from him even though he gets his stats.
