Riiiiiight.I know, they're much better than Metallica...
Metallica peaked with And Justice For All, everything after that is garbage, but, we are all entitled to our own opinions...Sure they are.
Yes, we are. If you think Metallica peaked in 1988, well, ok. But even if they did, even post-alleged 1988 peak (self-titled 1991 album may have something to say about it), any Metallica album has sold more copies than all of the albums by Cojira combined. Metallica has sold more albums than Cojira in France.but, we are all entitled to our own opinions...
It was really cool. They performed basically outside of and on the side of the Conciergerie where they liked to keep Marie-Antoinette.Oh wow I missed that.
My dude, it isn't about albums sold. I've seen them live 3x. I've seen Gojira 2x. Gojira has been a better live show by a metric ton each time. The only reason the Black album did so well was b/c of the 2 ballads on it that got them the mainstream audience and billboard ratings they craved. The reason I know this? After the black album came out, their tour came thru NOLA. I went b/c my sister and her friends needed someone to drive them to it, and I will admit this, I was happy AF that they didn't play 'nothing else matters' and 'the unforgiven' at the show. My sister and her friends were sad, so there's that...Yes, we are. If you think Metallica peaked in 1988, well, ok. I take it you liked the opening. I didn't. Hot mess. Personally, after watching the Beijing opening ceremony, or even the London ceremony, I can't see how anyone could not think the Paris opening was a hot mess. But yeah, to each his own.
Such a good brother! My dude, it isn't about albums sold. I've seen them live 3x. I've seen Gojira 2x. Gojira has been a better live show by a metric ton each time. Yup, hehe. Hey, at least they got a ride to/from the show...Such a good brother!
2 ballads? Enter the Sandman, Wherever I May Roam, Through the Never are ballads? Cool. Oh, wait, that's 3.My dude, it isn't about albums sold. I've seen them live 3x. I've seen Gojira 2x. I'm a little different, or maybe not so different in that the Black album was my introduction to Metallica. So I have a more emotional connection to that album than their others. One and Wherever I may roam were incredible songs to me. Later I started getting into their pre-Black stuff and enjoyed and still enjoy it. I didn't really care for much of their later stuff, but they still had some solid singles here and there. My dude, it isn't about albums sold. I've seen them live 3x. I've seen Gojira 2x. I mean, we won the medal count sure, but we only tied China for most golds and we certainly struggled in some areas. And even the golds we did win were usually pretty slim margins. Considering resources, one would argue the US should win more than we did. One of the more disappointing performances were the men and women's volleyball where we didn't win much when we normally do. It's pretty competitive at a lot of levels and was definitely fun to watch.Once again, when the lights come on and its prime time, the Americans just dominate the medal counts at the Olympics. For all the trash talk about our culture, fat jokes, diabetes memes, and other popular commentary people from other countries like to spew, USA comes away from France with 126 total medals to China's 91 total medals.
Everyone got dominated.
At this point, I wouldn't return sheet. Keep your medal, Jordan.
Yeah, but that's just like 600 of us. The rest of us are fat.Once again, when the lights come on and its prime time, the Americans just dominate the medal counts at the Olympics. Those flip-flop rulings just made both of those young ladies feel like dung.Agreed. That whole mess is pure nonsense. Give the other girl a bronze and call it a day. Couldn't care less about their dumbarse ruling.
