Absolutely, it takes way more physical effort to cover a WR than for a WR to run a route. The WR knows where he's going the DB does not. It takes more effort to make a tackle than to break one and by making a tackle you absorb way more punishment. Also pass rushing is way harder than pass blocking, why do you think DL are always rotating in and out and not OL?Hey lady!
I agree with your sentiment and ask a question I asked the other day with no answer (that I saw):
Why is it that the defense is tired when on the field too much but we never say that about the opposing offense that’s on the field just as much? Not being sarcastic I truly am baffled by this. All I can think of is maybe defense is more demanding than offense?????
