Our Offense without Taysom Hill (13 Viewers)

Hill doesn't make this offense tick. We did fine without his 22ypg average rushing and 1ypg receiving

McCoy going out hurt us because Penning was getting punked outside and his backup was getting beat on the inside.

With better protection Carr hits Shaheed for that TD

We did not play our best game and whether Hill was on the field or not, today was just not our day.

Hills versatility is something we have to look for in the draft because his ability is rivaled by noone in the roster in terms of his versatile.

Hill does a lot of important things that don't always show up in the stat sheet. He is a difference maker when he's on the field. Shaheed has gaudy stats but did absolutely nothing yesterday. The loss of McCoy was absolutely huge. Patrick is a better guard than center and Udoh was awful.

We did fine you say. What part of the offense did fine? What game were you watching?

The Saints running game and passing game were both anemic almost the entire game. Out of rhythm and out of sync all day with the exception of the short TD drive.

Maybe the Saints missed HIll more than those stats suggest. How did the Saints fare in those two critical short yardage situations?

You know, the Kamara Wildcat run and the 4th down Kamara run, both coming up short and failing to gain the 1st down.

Hill has a league high 87.5% Success Rushing Rate in 2024. He has gotten a 1st down on 62.5% of his rushing attempts in 2024. Amazing!

Maybe, just maybe, Hill would have been able to gain the 1st down in those short yardage situations.

On a day when the Saints averaged 3.1 yards per rushing attempt maybe the Saints missed Hills 6.6-yard average per rushing attempt.

With Hill in the game when the Saints break the huddle the defense is unaware what the personnel grouping will be. Who will be the QB, FB, RB, TE, WR?

Yesterday the Eagles didn't have any concerns or problems figuring that out. They employed a defense with personnel that matched up to the Saints offensive personnel before the Saints ever huddled up. Not only did they not have to account for where Hill might be, they didn't have to be concerned for what he might do.

It's no coincidence the Saints offense was unpredictable and unstoppable in the 1st 2 games and looked just the opposite then next game without TH7 in the lineup.

in 2 games he has 2 catches for 2 yards and 10 carries for 53 yards. And to this day right now, I can't tell you when he left the Cowboys game. Did it look like we missed something there?

That doesn't read like someone who makes our offense tick. He's a nice to have...not a must have otherwise we would've gotten a suitor when we dangled him out there with that 2nd round tender and other teams would've moved heaven and earth to find their Taysom Hill.

He's Kordell Stewart 2.0

Wrong Bud! 8 totes for 53 yards, 6.6 yards per carry. Not his fault he hasn't gotten more opportunities. When you're blowing teams out no need to force the wear and tear and possible risk of injury. He left early in the first game early after an apparent blowout was inevitable, a game in which he was a catalyst while in the game.

It sounds like you don't pay very close attention to the games. He left after Kamara broke out of a scrum to score a TD. Game in hand. Not much offense afterwards. Not much needed. Most starters removed from game including Kamara and Carr. Did you witness an offensive explosion after Hill left?

We heard this schtick before. Probably from you too. All teams make mistakes. 32 teams did by not drafting Hill in the first place. Every team in the league wishes they had a player like him. Many teams have tried replicating him, even the Saints by drafting Tommy Stevens, who like all others failed to even make more than a roster before flaming out of the league.

Kordell "Slash" Stewart was in his day the closest thing to Hill as far as being an all-around player. Just not as good at as many things. Passing yardage and receiving yardage yes, but it ends just about there. Good Try!

Get outta here with that nonsense. We've heard it from you before.

The last thread you got mic dropped on the subject before you let it go.

Best to let this one go or we could revisit.
