Providing we do our jobs and the Rams do theirs over the niners, we will travel to play the Rams on wildcard weekend.

I could think of better places to go.

**According to playoff machine**

Better than going to GB in the first round. Though if the Saints do beat the Rams in the first round they will likely have to go to GB in week 2.

I think the Rams would prefer to play us and our limited offense than going on the road to play Dallas. So hopefully they use that as motivation to go all-out against the Niners on Sunday.

Last time LAR and SF met was in week 10. SF beat LAR handily 31-10. They forced Stafford into multiple picks and ran all over them and controlled the clock.

In fact, LAR has not won against SF going back to 2019. SF has won the past 5 matchups. SF seems to have LAR's number.

LAR cannot afford to have a slow start. They'll need to put up points early and often, hopefully creating the need for SF to lean more on their passing game vs. run. Last meeting, SF racked up the yards on the ground and controlled TOP with a 10 minute differential. This can't happen again if LAR expect to secure the W.

Motivation is one thing. Execution is another. Let's hope LAR can execute.

Will Jimmy G or the backup play is the real question. Jimmy G won’t be at full strength if he does play either.

Whenever someone brings a stat like x team hasn’t beaten y team in z number of meetings, it’s usually a sign that the streak is gonna end.

If the Saints manage to make the playoffs, I expect them to go to LA and play balls to the wall, no holds barred football, and with our defense, anything can happen. See Tampa game for Exhibit A. And if SP thinks they need a little extra motivation, show the team the clip of a certain no-call that cost many of them a trip to the Super Bowl.

The Saints could still get blown out. Or maybe they play as if they have nothing to lose and shock the world. :idunno:

If we slide into the playoffs, we HAVE to get our offense rolling. You cannot count on the defense to win every game with the offense unable to put 7's on the board.

if we do make the playoffs, we need our offensive line to be as healthy as possible. if we can get Armstead and Ram back relatively healthy, our offense should be good enough with this defense.

The Rams are the worst matchup for us. Given we've beaten Green Bay and Tampa Bay twice already. The Green Bay win was with Jameis.

If we get in and play the Rams they will do what Carolina did. Stop the run and contain Taysom. They will make him become a pocket passer. We all know how that will wind up.

I'm torn. We have the chance to get a top 11 or top 12 pick or possibly slide all the way into the late teens or mid 20s.

Our consolation if we happen to play and beat the Rams, we then travel to Lambeau in January :)
