Saints Our Saints should win convincingly @Atlanta. (1 Viewer)

Our bye came at a good time: late into the season. Two weeks is more than enough time to regroup and strategize. šŸ¤”

Falcons will be amped-up, for sure. But somehow, I believe that the Saintsā€™ Gameplan will result in a ā€œWā€ for the good guys in the Black ā€˜n Gold.

:gosaints:
You honestly expect DA and PC to ā€œregroup and strategize.ā€ I donā€™t. DA has made it pretty clear that he doesnā€™t see a problem other then the team needs to be more consistent. In order to solve a problem, you have to first admit that there is a problem.

I have to strongly disagree brother. I think itā€™s actually fitting that the Saints will be playing in the craplanta toilet bowl stadium this Sunday because it is were the inevitable ā€œFLUSHā€ to our season will occur. Saints will find a wildly dramatic way to lose like a last second field goal triple doink miss or insert any number of excruciating gray hair forming finishes here.
Well arenā€™t you a bucket of sunshine!
Iā€™m betting you watch the games hoping for a disastrous outcome just so you can return here and gloat!

If the Saints lose to the Falcons just fire the entire coaching staff. Let Gruden finish the season.
No more recycled head coaches, please. Give a young guy a chance. Rather Curry over Gruden but there is no way DA is fired this season. I think management has already decide to keep him for 24.

I see us going up by 17 points in the first half only to have the game come back down to. Field goal to win with the whole game looking like a complete coaching turn-a-round game for the Saints only to get walloped by the Lions next week showing the Fans they were again pulled a Charlie Brown kick by DA!

The Saints team that shows up this year has been dependent upon the team the Saints play. When faced with a team that is already defeated mentally and physically such as the Patriots, the Saints can look like world beaters. However, when faced with a decent team (not good but decent like Green Bay) the Saints have struggled and found a way to lose, and when face with a better than average team like Minnesota, the Saints are getting the doors blown off even if they manage to end up with a respectable score. So today I expect a close game which will give Dennis Allen plenty of opportunities to screw things up. There is the possibility that this game goes off the rails because it seems as if Dennis is losing the locker room. This game is a Toss up.

They should. Whether they do or not, I don't know. I'm confident that Allen knows there is a problem and they need to improve. And just because he says something in public doesn't mean he thinks it in private. He's not going to bad mouth the team.

I hope they come out with a good game plan today. And I hope the players are all in on it. We'll see.

This is what seems more likely and in line from our team's play as of late.

I'll go 24-21 Atlanta, Grupe FG blocked with under a minute to go

Well I missed the Blocked field goal part, but Grupe did 'miss' to end the game and it was 24-15 not 24-21 (not sure why I thought our offense would score ANY touchdowns)

You meant well!

ā€œGoing into ministryā€ seems like a good fit then.

These are two flawed teams with questionable quarterbacks and unquestionably bad coaches. We might win, because there is a fair chance the Falcons will blow it. They often do. But any faith that this game is anything other than a 50-50 coin flip is undue.
Very undue. ā€œWhat were you thinkingā€ undue.

Yeah, I was waiting for this thread to get bumped. This blind optimism was great when we had a legit QB and a legit coach - but this current version of the Saints will only reward optimism with crushing disappointment.

This is an old, slow, poorly coached team with zero guts and inventiveness to boot. They will end the season just as they have the past couple seasons - failing to win an absolute joke of a division and sitting at home come playoff time.

So what was the point of creating this thread? Given how well they normally pan out....

I'll hang up and listen.

Also with the easiest schedule I've ever seen, with rookies, backups and mediocre quarterbacks galore.

The Saints arenā€™t blowing the Falcons out.
These games are always close.
Taysom having a good game makes it a win for the Saints.
Taysom fumbling in the red zone was a killer. Saints were set to take the lead.

Of course the defense played poorly against the run and that was equally crushing.
