Tuesday, Green Bay signed former Vikings and Saints QB Todd Bouman. Bouman started three games for the Saints last year but had a poor showing with a 54.7 rating. However, in 2001 Bouman started three games when Daunte Culpepper was benched and had a terrific showing with a 98.3 and eight touchdowns to just four picks.

Thats great but I got a prediction for you guys. Their third string guy is named Ingle Martin and I think if Aaron Rodgers doesn't play next year that Farve will retire after next season and Ingle will have that starting job. I saw that guy in the combine and he made all the throws but he just came from a small school and before that was stuck behind some other QB at a major college. He reminds me of Schuab in Atlanta.

Wow... Mike mcCarthy is turning the Packers into New Orleans Mid West... good for Bouman.. I didn't hink he actually sucked... but he didn't fit what we had going on here. OK he did suck a little..

Ever hear the expression,.. Well, at least, it can't any worse,.... well, whoever wrote it didn't know about the Packers.

Back in 2004, when I had to answer to all of my friends back in Minnesota for not cheering for the Carolina Panthers against the universally hated Patriots in the SB, I drew the analogy "How would you feel if Todd Bouman went to the Lions and led them to the SB? Would you cheer for the other team, no matter who it was?" While Bouman is no Delhomme, he is a Minnesota boy who backed up DC in some very lean years when the backup was definetly the most popular guy on talk radio. I think it would be hilarious if he led a Packer resurgence for that reason-in fact, that situation would be more analogous to a native Louisiana qb leaving the Saints and leading the Falcons to the SB.

I went to see the Saints play the Cardinals in Tempe....was that last year??? Last year or year before...anyway.
At the game we were sitting in the stands along the Saints sideline. At some point during the game a guy sitting about four rows up, and twenty seats down, from me decided to just start giving Bouman the business.
I think he was a Saints fan, but for some reason he just had it out for Bouman, who had done absolutely nothing that year except stand on the sidelines.
"HEY BOW-MAN!!! You blow!!!!" "HEY BOW-MAN, YOUR TEAMMATES HATE YOU!!!" "BOWWWWWMMMMMMAAAAAANNNNNN!!!"
He would randomly shout out these things all during the game. There was no rhyme or reason to it. None of us tried to ask him what his deal was, mainly because it was really, REALLY funny listening to this guy yelling at a professional clip-board holder with such hate.

Now anytime I hear anything about Bouman the first thing that echo's through my head is, "BOWWWWMMMMMMAAAAAANNNNNNNNN!!!!!"

You're not alone, I hear it too...

Which is strange, because I have never been to Tempe.

If a QB could bounce the ball on the ground before the receiver caught it, Bouman would be decent.
