Rotoworld reporting that the Panties will start Grier at QB next week, and likely for the rest of the season, so they can get an idea of what they have in him.
I liked Grier coming out, but getting thrown into the frying pan at this point.

Good move on their part. They know what they have in Cam and Kyle. Its worth giving the rookie a shot in an otherwise worthless season.

I also think it gives us a better shot in Week 17 vs a rookie in the dome

I totally agree with your first statement. Make's good sense to see what he's got.

The second part, I believe we already played the Panthers at home in the dome.

we're still talking about football, yeah?

In the days when actual defense was allowed, rookie QBs were fresh meat to opposing defenders. I can remember we played the Eagles the year Randall Cunningham had gone down on opening day and was done for the season. They started a rookie QB and the Dome Patrol knocked him out the game by the third quarter.

All consternation with today's sport a given, there should be no reason on Earth a Saints team possibly playing for a #1 seed should lose to a rookie QB playing for a lame-duck coach. No reason on Earth.

Grier likes deeper routes. Hoping he waits too long for them to develop and we rack up some sacks. He was a solid player for my Mountaineers. ...now he's the enemy.
