Looks like another internal hire due to lack of interest to me. Carolina is a hot mess and I love it.

What? There are only 32 of those jobs...surely someone would've taken it- so they say

And yet we were sharing a boat with them on the fishing pond soon as the season ended. That's bad.

It's unfortunate that the season ended earlier than we wanted but the team wasn't bad. Certainly nowhere near as bad as the Panthers.

Not like the Panthers’ openings are undesirable for no reason. They may have the worst owner in the league. Even with that, someone’s going to take the Panthers GM and HC jobs and use it as a stepping stone so there’s only 32 jobs still applies.

Dan Morgan can blossom as GM with his former player knowledge if he can kick it off with identifying a good coach and key roster personnel acquisitions to Tepper. Or he just fails like he’s expected to in a Tepper-ran environment and use the Panthers GM tenure to get hired by another team’s FO at a regular executive position again. No risk-all reward for Morgan.

“Won 4 of their last 5 but fell just short of entering the playoffs via tiebreakers” is a universe departed from “fifth straight double-digit loss season, six different holders of the title ‘head coach’ in that time despite one guy coaching multiple seasons, bottom of the league in offense and defense”

As the assistant general manager I guess he was partially responsible for the Panther's terrible roster. Just watched an interview from August and he was mighty excited about the talent on their team. Hopefully he keeps up the good work!
