Is he eligible for a non-exclusive tag? May not be a bad idea. He's rumored to be a top free agent, and other teams are already going to fork out loads of money for him. It's very possible that we could let him go and receive a 2nd or 3rd in comp with such a move. It comes with a bit of risk though. What if another team doesn't want to pay him that money AND give him draft capitol. Well, then we get him for another year. That's actually a really good worst case scenario. I'd rather keep him, but letting him go for nothing feels like someone robbing my bank.
