This idea that the NFL would somehow “block” SP’s return to coaching is conspiratorial nonesense since any return would be a big storyline for the NFL and whatever team he might decide to coach, which would mean $$$ for the league and hopefully draft picks for the Saints.

I think the NFL will guard the 'shield' more then we know.. they don't want Payton as a head coach.

The NFL has nothing against CSP or the Saints.

Here's my wondering: What team is going to go against the commissioner and sign him? everyone know how critical he is of ole Roger. The only teams that will accept him as their head coach are Miami, Dallas, and New Orleans. THAT'S IT.

So you’re saying the whole NFL world, including journalists employed by the NFL are gleefully speculating on where CSP will coach next year, BUUUTT, in reality the NFL isn’t going to “allow” a team to sign Payton without punishing them?
