Payton on being one of the least injured teams in the NFL (26 Viewers)

Honestly reading between the lines he’s calling out the Saints organization and Mickey Loomis. He’s basically saying we suck at dealing with injuries and he has some secret formula. I don’t think Sean and Mickey are friends anymore. I’d be surprised if Sean has any REAL friends in life. He is so petty and mean.

Interesting statement considering his current head strength/conditioning coach in Denver is the same strength/conditioning coach he had for his entire tenure here when we were experiencing a significant number of injuries year in and year out. 🤔

His first public criticism of the Saints was the organizations lack of having his back against the refs. Saying the ownership in Denver would be better in that situation.

His second public criticism was during his first offseason with Denver when he mentioned how superior the talent evaluation process was in Denver compared to Nola. Mickey immediately responded by shaking up that part of the organization.

Now after his second season he’s criticizing the constant injury issues without directly saying the Saints. It was the first thing that he mentioned after beating the Saints in the dome this season saying that the “Saints were banged up”.

It’s crystal clear why he left NOLA and you can’t argue with the results. He was in the playoffs with a first round QB, and the Saints, well we all know where the Saints are at right now.

We certainly have had a propensity for playing with fire in recent years, not placing enough value on durability in the player acquisition realm.

Considering our recent history with injuries, you’d think this would be a point of emphasis with the guys we bring in as free agents or draft.
