Wonder what happened with Elfrid Payton. He is not on the training camp roster.

The New Orleans Pelicans are signing a Gretna native to a training camp deal

Elfrid Payton, a high school star at John Ehret who played collegiately at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, is signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the Pelicans.

While I would like to see us add a modern 5 that can step out and not live in the lane.... I am excited to see us go to a small ball type of lineup. I think it fits us. I mean, when your 2 best players get like 90% of their point in the paint and mid range... having a traditional 5 living there is bad for business IMO. Does it hurt on defense and with rebounding? TBD.... but I know the most dominant teams over the last decade play this way (GWS/BOS).... and if the personnel fit works... I'd at least like to see us give it go.
