agreedCall it dastardly or call it crafty, Seattle figured out they could hold on almost every passing play and refs would still only call it a few times a game. It worked for them. They got a Super Bowl and came so close to a second.
For years we have ******* and moaned (at least I have) for the NFL to start calling that BS. Unfortunately, the league let it go on so long that now a good number of teams in the league have begun copying the Seahawks tactics. It certainly seems we have as, not just Browner, but Breaux has gotten some calls against him as well, IIRC. Like we saw Seattle continually getting away with it and decided to teach the same thing.
IMO, what we're seeing with all defensive holding calls is the NFL trying to get control of that situation. But the clowns are years late doing it.
And unfortunately for us, we just signed one of the guys who feasted on that tactic.
