This is the what happens with a comish like Goodell the control freak. Or maybe it's the league's response to the Seattle approach, can't call them all, we'll they're gonna try!

it's the pass interference and defensive holding that are the culprit. they both leave too much discretion up to the individual ref. they can call it on most any pass play when they want. to me it's how they control the outcome of the game. also if i hear illegal hands to the face one more time........

Call it dastardly or call it crafty, Seattle figured out they could hold on almost every passing play and refs would still only call it a few times a game. It worked for them. They got a Super Bowl and came so close to a second.

For years we have ******* and moaned (at least I have) for the NFL to start calling that BS. Unfortunately, the league let it go on so long that now a good number of teams in the league have begun copying the Seahawks tactics. It certainly seems we have as, not just Browner, but Breaux has gotten some calls against him as well, IIRC. Like we saw Seattle continually getting away with it and decided to teach the same thing.

IMO, what we're seeing with all defensive holding calls is the NFL trying to get control of that situation. But the clowns are years late doing it.

And unfortunately for us, we just signed one of the guys who feasted on that tactic.

Pick plays and WRs pushing off are out of control, but that helps score points so it's rarely called unless super flagrant. Julio Jones pushes off on nearly every route. Must've learned it from Roddy

People laugh at the Bills and their 17 penalties against the Bills, but penalties that were called on them were mainly of the new PI variety. Sure the Bills are dumb, but I'm not as down on them as others are because it's the new nature of da beasts.

Its more calls this year than anything. These must be rookie refs. Its horrible.
