You can’t explain this away by saying “well most of the guys who got called for penalties won’t be on the regular season squad” because when the starters have gotten mins they have been called for penalties too.

We have the talent to win the NFC South, but we also have the discipline to lose it.

I agree, but come on, don't you think this official crew was a little bit ticky tack on the flags? I counted about 5 that should have not been called


They miss some flagrant ones from the Chargers. Why didn't they eject the guy that hit the crown of his helmet on Heaner ?

Just saying 14 is a lot of penalties!

Total number of penalties is trending down or steady over the last 2 seasons compared to the previous HC. Saints are consistently in the 90-99 range for a full season.

Allen got some new OL coaches and new DB coaches probably as a result of the high holding penalties. You expect some of that from the backups and fringe guys but not as much.
