Hey y'all, I figure why not try to bring these monthly photo hobby threads back by starting out with snow day! I'm sure everyone has tons of snow photos so lets see them. Can be cellphone pics or taken with camera. All skill levels welcome and feel free to ask people for advice or friendly critiques!

Thanks for getting this going again. I consider myself a beginning photographer - but I've been a beginner for about 15 years now. I just don't take/have the time to really commit to the craft. Hoping to re-inspire myself and get going again.

Love the snow pics. Is this a paid job for you?

This particular shoot no, we went out for fun. But I do paid gigs and my daytime part time job is photographer for a car dealership so even with that I'm still doing photo and video stuff.

I need to get some kinda lens for my phone that lets me take good zoomed pics. Been taking a bunch of pics while I'm out bow hunting but zoomed pics never look right. I want to print a few to frame after I get some good ones.

I've done a few of my cars over the years. No longer have the GTO and I miss that car.

This thread makes me sad for two reasons. Reason one is that I just looked through all of my pictures from the last six months, and everything has just been kids' events related. I haven't just gone out and done photography in forever. Reason two is that I do have some nice photos of my kids, especially my daughter riding in horse shows, but I don't trust the outside world enough to share those images that might be identifying.

But, always glad to see a photos thread and congrats to the folks who have already contributed some great pictures.

I get it.....99% of my pics are kids/family stuff and I have a couple favorites of my daughter but I wouldn't put her pic out there even though she's 18 now and has social media so she has it out there anyhow.

but i was able to distract them with a bag of crickets and made my escape
