You're right. Most TEs drafted in the first round tend to disappoint. TEs are tricky to draft since their development can be unpredictable in the league. That said, I still think Bowers is going to be one of the rare ones that'll live up to the hype.I’m not comfortable taking a tight end in the top 15. Generally these first round tight ends don’t meet expectations. Maybe hockenson has..and even he was traded. We need to build up the OL and DL. If TE or WR is BPA, trade back.

So if he slips to 10 or 11, do the Saints trade up for him? If he’s seriously the best player in the draft as you say, they shouldn’t wait for him if he gets close.No... Bowers is the best overall player in the draft IMO.... passing on him at 14 (when he's a top 5 player) is criminal. IMO it's like passing on a guy you know will be a clone of Kelce.
