Pick #14 (2 Viewers)

I think Bowers is going to be there. The guy skipped the combine and will pretty much skip pro day, I'll be surprised if someone takes him in the top 13.

I’m not comfortable taking a tight end in the top 15. Generally these first round tight ends don’t meet expectations. Maybe hockenson has..and even he was traded. We need to build up the OL and DL. If TE or WR is BPA, trade back.

You're right. Most TEs drafted in the first round tend to disappoint. TEs are tricky to draft since their development can be unpredictable in the league. That said, I still think Bowers is going to be one of the rare ones that'll live up to the hype.

We’ll see but I think people say that every time there’s a 1st round TE prospect.

It’s a tough position. They’re usually done by 30. If that’s the only pick, let someone else make it.

No... Bowers is the best overall player in the draft IMO.... passing on him at 14 (when he's a top 5 player) is criminal. IMO it's like passing on a guy you know will be a clone of Kelce.
So if he slips to 10 or 11, do the Saints trade up for him? If he’s seriously the best player in the draft as you say, they shouldn’t wait for him if he gets close.

If Brock Bowers is there at #14 do we pass on him?
It’s looking like he could be in play at this point, outside of us potentially trading back in the draft.

He’s a scheme fit, I just have concerns about using a pick on a guy who’s not going to be an instant top option as a rookie.

Olave(138) and Kamara(84) will be #1 and #2 followed by Shaheed(75) at #3. Bowers would then have to compete w/ Johnson (58) for targets as well. He’d also be the 3rd team TE on day 1 of camp because they aren’t going to just give him the #1 TE snaps.

Staying at 14 Id at least be looking for someone who could give me 45% snaps or more on O or D.

Meanwhile you have a defense absolutely STARVING for a passrusher and questionable quality at LT and LG

I have already said yes... I would not wait.... and anyone doubting this guy in the slightest... has not watched him play enough. He's special.
