Pipe Dream Talk: What If We Beat the Chargers 27-17, Should We Hold Derek Carr Out Against Carolina? (1 Viewer)

What if we beat them 28-3....

Then Rattler gets inducted into the Saints HoF during the post-game interview.

What makes you think we can hold the chargers to just 17 points?
Well, the Defense has shown the ability to be shut down when complimented by the offensive game... by all intentions the offense should be better this game allowing the walking mash unit on the defensive side of the ball to be able to accomplish their job...

Last 3 games in 10 days...
..vets in out playing injured
..back ups playing w/inexperience
..longest offensive time of possession in last 3 games (in 10days), a whopping 26mins

May just implode, but I am expecting a return towards the means...

So I expect an improved overall performance & execution just because of simply getting back to our schemes & philosophy.

Who Dat!

I agree. But if Rattler has a good game, that should be the standard for Carr
Donā€™t really understand this. So should the standard of rattler be what Carr did before all of the teams injuries?

It doesn't matter what the backup does when the starter is ready then he goes back in. Now the only thing that may have changed that was if Rattler would have carried the team on his back to 3 straight victories and is tearing it up. That didn't happen so when Carr is ready Rattler goes back to the bench. I am however looking forward and hoping that he has a bright future with the Saints.

I've been thinking about this as well and the answer is Yes. Carr is a tough dude and will absolutely play before he's actually ready if he can. If we beat the Chargers, and Carr *can* go vs the Panthers...I'm putting him as the backup QB and seeing if Rattler can do it again while resting the starter for the 2nd half of the season
Carr got knocked out by a glancing blow from a cornerback, go you tube the play. I think he was terrified behind that Oline, and is skittish with happy feet. Drew would never have missed time with that sissy hit. I don't know were the Carr is tough came from. He's been carried off the field more in 1 year than Drew was in 15.

You mean the game after he sprained his AC joint? The same injury that usually sidelines QBs for multiple weeks? But he wanted to play through the pain because he was still the best option?

Ok just making sure we're clear.
Jameis would have been much more fun

This entire post stinks like :poop:!

The hit by the defender had nothing to do with his injury. If you don't know what actually happened that's on you. Forget the Drew comparisons. Nonsense.

Before coming to the Saints Carr had only missed 2 games in his entire career due to injury and played hurt through many of them. Sissy my azz.

He has left the field injured since joining the Saints. Maybe that's a stronger indictment on the Saints offensive line woes than you actually understand. SMH

In real time i didnā€™t think DC4 was that injured from the hit. Was kinda shocked that he was severely injured afterwards. Although I donā€™t think he was injured from the hit. Things happen, especially in a weird-ish type season like we have had so far. Could be wrong

Carr is our starter if fully healthy and he gives us the best chance to win games for the remainder of the season. The jury is still out on Rattler at this point and while I do think he has some real potential make no mistake if the Saints get a top 5 pick in the draft they will strongly consider a QB Rattler of not!

Drew always walked off on his own power. Kept the ambulance crew on the sidelines. He finished the half with 12 broken ribs.. Little dude, but THAT was tough

Dude, How much nonsense are you going to continue to spew?

What does Drew's injury history have to do with anyone else?

When has Carr been carted off the field as a Saint?

Some of the manufactured Carr hate is almost unbelievable. It's not though, because of the folks here who are delusional with make believe narratives.
