PJ Williams & Kwon Alexander (1 Viewer)

I mean, you can't keep everyone and we certainly showed with Ramczyk, Lattimore, and Kamara that we will pay top dollar for top players. And we paid top LT money to Armstead for many years.
I know, but sometimes we let folks walk and the deals they get aren't that high. So how low was the Saints offer? Most of these guys don't seem to want to leave, but at times we aren't competitive with our offer while we pay money for guys like Peat and Taysom. It just doesn't always make sense to me. I'd rather have Williams, Hendrickson or Armstead over Peat. Just me.

Pretty sure they will be back. I think players and the front office learned a lesson with the Ingram snafu a while back. Let them get a feel for the market. We have cap space and if the price is reasonable, we will re-sign them I predict.

This is the way the Saints do it with free agents. They place a value, offer a contract, and then they wait. Some players get better offers and leave (TA, Williams, Ingram) and some come back. Once in a while they pull an offer after replacing a player who doesn't sign, such as Ingram.

PJ, Kwon and TQS are likely all coming back at the number the Saints set for them.
Hopefully its after the draft. If you make it until then your getting the vet min or your remaining unsigned. Other teams would have filled out there rosters by then.

I gaurentee that if either sign elsewhere then we have backup FA candidates ready or a draft target. Seems like as soon as Williams signed in Baltimore we had Maye loaded.
Not having a FA for Terron would seem to me they are happy with who they have on the roster and they have a draft target.

Underhill's take on PJ back on his Q&A was that the team likely wants him back and he wants to be back, but he could possibly be testing his market for the opportunity to be a full time starting FS as opposed to a situational player for us. The longer that drags out, I think the more beneficial for us.

He said he could see Kwon back but the plan as of now is to have Werner start next to Davis.

Kwon is so much better in coverage. The defense just seems to play faster when Kwon is in the game. Plus, it frees up Davis to just attack.

Werner was actually really good in coverage as well. I'm pretty sure the FO is going to let Kwon feel out his market, and he'll be back at a reasonable rate if no teams are biting. I can see why teams are reluctant to throw starter money at him with his injury history.
