As a safety professional my experience has been that you would have to react to a tragic event before any corporate bean counter is gonna implement a cost that high without being regulated and forced to do it. Customers don’t want it, business can’t afford it, it’s capitalism. Capitalism isn’t about safety. There has to be monetary incentive. TSA would love that business.

Only time I’ve ever been robbed was on a train from Hungary back to Germany
Passport dudes came through in middle of night, since they woke me up I went to bathroom then back to my compartment
Get off the train in Frankfurt, order a coffee and International Herald Tribune go to pay for it and guess what??

Funny that you mention it bc that night before I just wandered into this quaint restaurant in Budapest (first real goulash and it was delicious)
Anyway the waitress had a flyer for a dance party that night that she invited me to - unfortunately I had that train to catch but I did think hard about changing my ticket
I don’t remember her being extremely hot, but I do remember her being pretty cute
