Playoff Scenario (1 Viewer)

Would you be convicted in court of being Christian? Stop wearing your wishbone where your backbone ought to be.
Somehow I doubt that anyone would be silly enough to accuse me......

But I agree. If we lay a big enough thumping on the failclowns, the panthers have a chance to give us a mighty big gift next week. It's not as big a stretch as some folks think, either. It is a division game, it may very well be John Fox's last game there, and his players may want to play well for him (for a change) The biggest problem is see there is the lack of a quarterback. If Clausen finally has the game that everybody thought he was in the draft, then I think we've got a real chance.

I agree but I sure wouldnt want to be Roddy White tomorrow night..... He may have 10 catches but something tells me after every one of those catches he is guna get hit HARD!

The fact is, many Saints fans doubt the Saints can play at high enough level to beat the clowns. They see what the Saints did against the Ravens, and concluded that the team is just not playing good enough to beat a top notch team like the clowns. So they urge the Saints to concentrate on beating the Bucs, whom they perceive the lesser team.

Problem is, if they're right about losing to the clowns, they're wrong about beating the Bucs also.....both the clowns & Bucs play at a very high level, and it is quite possible that the Saints will lose both games......unless.....

Here first I would add that the Saints are quite capable beating both teams without much sweat....if they play to their capabilities of course....I would remind those fans that the Saints played a superb game on both sides of the ball against the Steelers....if they can play that good against a better team then the clowns & Bucs, then all their arguments loses credibility...all the Saints have to do is go out and DESTROY the clowns!!!....at which point the game against the Bucs loses all meaning....the Saints will rest their players.

I am quite confident the Saints will do just that.....they got humbled against the Ravens, and beating the clowns will restore all the lost prestige. I expect the Saints to come out smoking and score early and often.....by half time this game could be well in the bag.....

As long as they are tacking on an extra 15 after those hits, I'm sure he'll be fine with it..

I'm telling you right now, if any player for the Saints is dinged up they need to sit. They need to get everyone ready for the game against Tampa because it will probably be winner is in and loser goes home.

I don't agree with sitting anybody that's dinged up tomorrow. We need to win. You don't want to leave it to chance. If we lose tomorrow it's pretty much a do or die game against Tampa. They are playing extremely well right now.

My understanding is that the Falcons clinch the #1 seed with a win at home over the Panthers, regardless of MNF.

They'd be 13-3 and neither Philly (10-4) nor Chicago (11-3) can get to 13 wins.

So it behooves the Saints to get off to a fast offensive start and to make it defensively physical early against the Falcons.

If the Saints go out to 3 or 4 score lead, Mike Smith may pull Ryan, especially if he's taking Warner/Favre caliber hits.

I don't think Tampa's actually playing that well right now.

They blew a two-score lead versus the Falcons, needed a missed XP to beat the Redskins, lost to Detroit for the Lions first road win in 3 years, then beat a Seahawk team with zilch to play for after Seattle pulled Hasselbeck for a wretched wretched backup.

That said, Saints still need to bring their A game on MNF.

The Saints clinch as follows

1 win
NYG & GB losses

Worst case scenario if we have 2 losses, both Giants and Packers would have to lose then it would be us and Tampa Bay.

We win the South we get homefeild.

TB, GB, AND Wash. win GB and TB are in we are out.
TB, CHI, AND NYG win TB and Giants are in we are out.

Thats how it be.....But we will take care of our own business we need not no ones help!

So you expect the Saints and GW to not recognise that didnt work and try something else tomorrow? GW is not dumb and he had a decent gameplan last time but Porter got hurt. Greer was locked on White and Porter on Tony

I certainly hope you're right. It just seems to me that teams have caught on to the GW scheme this year and have figured out they can check the ball down for a big gain on 3rd down because of all of the blitzing. I haven't seen GW change this style all that much this season, even in games where it clearly was getting the Saints burned. I hope he proves me wrong and they adapt to an effective scheme for the game. Nothing would make me happier and I'll be right there with them regardless. I'm just trying to be realistic and honest about what I think is going to happen.
