Been watching this for a few days and assumed someone would be making a thread, but since there isn’t one, thought I’d chip in. Started seeing school closures for tomorrow in anticipation of a severe outbreak.

@bclemms, any thoughts on this one?

I was just coming to post about as our kids schools usually follow St. Tammany public and they are closed.

A week ago we had similar "threat" and it was a dud.

Wondering if this set up is different from last week?

Tornadoes firing NW of DFW right now. So far confirmed damage in Jacksboro and Bowie.

Nado warning just north of FTW. Local met says the atmosphere over DFW is spinning like a top. If conditions they’re seeing were in an area like rural Kansas, they would expect to see multiple tornados if chasing them. It’s all headed eastward.

Numerous tornado warnings in the Austin area. Video confirmation of tornadoes on the ground.

He just posted chasing ...had a tornado cross his path !!

Confirmed damage in the Round Rock area from a friend.

See now that concerns me due to the latitude ...Austin is like 25 latitude. Lower than New Orleans so if things are popping off that far south, it certainly can at 30 lat.

Excellent coverage here. Absolutely insane outbreak taking place in Texas. I pray that this does not happen in Louisiana tomorrow.

Yeah, I assume everybody in Louisiana and beyond needs to be paying attention.

The warning we were in expired. Activity is now north and east of Austin.

The storm last week knocked out my internet, att was scheduled to fix it tomorrow morning, which is when this one is scheduled to be right on top of me.

DFW lucked out big time so far.

Yeah. The storms congealed into the line moving through right now, instead of discrete supercells as forecasted. But Jacksboro was hit hard. I’m thinking it was an EF2 but NWS will investigate and determine the rating.
