Bclemms....yall this is nuts.
10 ft difference and this is not same video. Not sure what to say, but wow.
I sincerely hope you are correct. If so, that makes me feel better. As for weather today, I really feel like the threat is being overstated for Louisiana.
I pulled on the shoulder then about 20 seconds before the video started decided to pull off the shoulder onto the grass. ‘‘Twas a good decision.
So, you were pretty much spot on with this, at least for my neck of the woods (eastern central LA). We were squarely in the level 4 area, but we just a lot of heavy rain and some wind. Now that it's done, what led you to think it wasn't going to be as bad as advertised? As for weather today, I really feel like the threat is being overstated for Louisiana.
Same, just a lot of rain and some wind. But, they did have a confirmed tornado touch down in Madison Parish, almost at the MS River. So, you were pretty much spot on with this, at least for my neck of the woods (eastern central LA). Wind profiles were highly favorable for heavy rain and flooding. Parameter space was high but Meridional flow (South to north mid level flow) leads to slow moving squal lines and brief QLCS tornadoes. It’s pretty much the same setup that SPC always goes overboard with and end up with a busted forecast. So, you were pretty much spot on with this, at least for my neck of the woods (eastern central LA).
