Potentially big loss for the Bucs (1 Viewer)

You never want to lose a starter to injury but it's even worse when the starter is impossible to replace. Vea is a massive human being at 6'4", 350 lbs and he could move. Not many guys like that in the league. He was coming into his own playing NT in their 3-4. He was disruptive in the middle and helped keep the LBers clean. This is a huge loss for that front 7.

He is a very talented player, at perhaps the most significant defensive position. Hope he has a great career after he moves out of the division. For now, no tears that he loses another season with the Bucs.

Vea is an absolute stud! He plays the run like a grizzly bear, and he’s athletic enough to be a factor in the pass game as well. He’s a key cog in that Tampa defense... and this is a massive loss for that unit.

With that said... Suh is playing really well right now, the Bucs have arguably the best duo of LBs in the league, and their secondary is quietly very good. Hate all you want, but that was a championship caliber defense with Vea.... but it’s still pretty darn good

Yea the Bucs defense has scary talent and will only improve with youth. Give me David and White as my LBs in any scheme over any duo in the NFL. On top of those 2 you have Shaquille Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul coming off the edge with Barrett as one of the best 3-4 LBs in the league. In front of that 4 is 2 studs in Vea and Sub as near prototypes for those positions. Then you get to a secondary that is so young and damn good. Their CBs are both just 23 and very good. You have Sean Murphy Bunting as my rising CB star next to Carlton Davis. If you watched last night you saw their 3rd 23 year old starting CB who playa in the Nickel. James Dean absolutely dominated last night and is going to be a star. When you move to safety you have rookie Antoine Winfield Jr. who looka to be a very good young FS talent that comes from NFL bloodlines. The next 23 year old starter in the secondary since Winfield is only 22 is Jordan Whitehead at SS who again looks to be a good young safety they have. Similar to what I thought about our defense being young with no real weakness outside a 2nd stud LB and the Bucs are missing a 3rd stud DLoneman for the 3-4. I love our defense but I sure wouldn’t mind taking theirs haha. No Bucs fan here at all by the way but that defense can be scary good and hate to see the big man go down.

Get well soon big man! Injuries have been crazy this year and it’s sadly continuing week after week.

I watched him chase down a WR screen at the line of scrimmage last night. Dude is a freak.
