Yep, watching it last night I saw the same thing. It was a full rotation of the ankle. More than likely a break and significant soft tissue damage. He’s done for the year. Prayers for him and his long term health.

Just curious, how is his name pronounced? I always thought his last name was pronounced “Vay”. Even when he was coming out of college. But for the couple of minutes I had the game on, Joe Buck kept saying “Vayuh”.

Vea is an absolute stud! He plays the run like a grizzly bear, and he’s athletic enough to be a factor in the pass game as well. He’s a key cog in that Tampa defense... and this is a massive loss for that unit.

With that said... Suh is playing really well right now, the Bucs have arguably the best duo of LBs in the league, and their secondary is quietly very good. Hate all you want, but that was a championship caliber defense with Vea.... but it’s still pretty darn good

I wouldn’t go that far... the Bucs were among the beat in the league vs the run with Vea at NT... without him, they’re still probably top 10. That defense is pretty stacked... I hate to say it, but they’ve either got studs (multiple) or rising stars at every level of their defense. By the end of the season, that secondary could be among the best, and their LBs are sick
