The New Orleans Saints marched out to an eight game winning streak in the 2017 season, eventually propelling themselves into an NFC South championship and their first playoff berth in four years behind the most efficient passing game, the league’s highest scoring backfield, and the game’s most improved defense.
Alvin Kamara and Marshon Lattimore both claimed the Rookie of the Year Awards after their stellar performances at the running back and cornerback positions, respectively. Around the roster, the Saints have talented options returning at every position on both sides of the ball, a unit that has helped propel the team onto a short list of favorites by odds makers who are in contention to win the Super Bowl this year.
Head coach Sean Payton says the team must not take their talent for granted, and that they must rebuild from scratch with every preseason preparation, something he will instill into his players during the training camp period this summer. ...
