Predicting the Saints' Final Roster by Mike Detillier (1 Viewer)

Thanks for the linkage. It doesn't seem like I've been seeing too much stuff from Mike D. these days. Is it just me?

Not groundbreaking but here are some highlights besides the obvious:

- Predicts Anthony Waters doesn't make the team
- Predicts Torrence will beat out Jason David
- Predicts Prolieau won't make the team
- Predicts that Reis is cut unless Chip Vaughn goes on IR.

If the roster work out like Mike have it I would think that Coleman and Simoneau would be released when Grant and Smith return. It would be nice to see them work out a trade deal for Charles Grant for a 2nd round pick or move him to DT because it might be hard him to beat out McCray after the suspension.

Some of the DE's will be cut when they come back. Spicer, Hargrove, Charleston....all possiblities.

We aren't going to carry 6 DE's on the active roster.

I think that they might cut Coleman and Charleston. Charleston is a good player but Hargrove and McCray are looking special. Spicer can double as a DT. Coleman isn't showing too much right now and we have 5 DT's on the roster. If you count Spicer, it would be 6.

I wouldn't feel good about cutting Brunell to keep Harrington.

We agree on this one. Brunell would make less mistakes than Harrington. However, as I've said before, this team is built around one guy, DREW BREES. If he goes down, the season's over. It really doesn't matter who the backup is. Maybe Brunell is good for a couple wins over weaker teams with our talent surrounding him, but without Brees, we have no hope of a playoff run.

good read.

I'm more comfortable with Brunell as backup.

The punter has been that good in camp?

This team will be fine if the injury bug doesn't strike again.
