Drafting Dart makes zero sense. Not even his biggest supporters believe he will be NFL ready in 25 so we would simply be developing him for 26/27.

If you want a QB for 26 then wait for a better draft class and take an nfl ready QB then
Makes 0 sense? It might make 0 sense for him to be a starter year 1, but fortunately NFL will be around for more than 1 more season.

Isn't Hurts RPO? I looked at box scores.

I have some free time this weekend. I may have to watch a Dart game or 2 instead of just the LSU game and highlights. l've definitely watched Sanders' games since JSU. Even if what you say weren't just your opinion and was objectively true, what you're saying about Sanders' is objectively false based on his numbers and the success he's had at both the college programs he's played in. It just is.

..and in my question, the intended emphasis was on IMMEDIATE impact and who would be more likely to be successful. I don't understand how that isn't Sanders when we've seen him turn around both JSU and Colorado.
what did I say about his numbers and programs?

But if you’re splashing 1-9 on a guy who is going to give you nothing at all in 25 and isn’t seen as being an elite talent aren’t you better off waiting to 26 or 27 when the QB class could potentially be a lot better and the prospects are actually ready to play year one.

The more and more I think about it, the more I realize Sanders just isn’t even an option and it’s likely not being said by teams out of respect for Deion.

1 coach through high school and college.
Massive chunk of passes within 5 yards
Large sack numbers
WR took over games, not Sanders
Massive Ego
Shoves ref when frustrated.

Any coach would be a fool to hinge their career to him, especially a first time head coach. Moore seems too smart for that. And after Carrs injury, that’s exactly what Moore would be doing.

Better to assume no QB is ready to play year 1. Stroud/JD5 rookie years are so incredibly rare. Sitting a QB a year has proven to be immensely positive in development. The Packers and Love are perfect examples of what drafting a non-top-10 QB looks like when you apply patience.

But we can’t sit Dart for 3 years and I don’t think we would need to. Dart is really good candidate and put up a better offense then Sanders and the best help he had was a third round WR prospect. Dart carried and lead that offense week in and week out where as Travis Hunter led Sanders and Ward had quite a few 2nd and third round draft prospects helping him like a WR, TE, OLine and maybe even a good RB. Dart not only had as many total passing yards as Ward but came semi-close to leading the team in rushing yards over his RBs too. And unlike Ward and Sanders, he did it against SEC defenses.

The lack of people recognizing Dart is nothing short of malleability since he’s not dominating media conversations the way Ward and Sanders are, but he’s almost every bit as good as a prospect as Ward and far better one then Sanders.

Oh I dont think we're going QB at 9.

Add that Sanders had 152 sacks (some bad OL some on him), -29 yards rushing 17 TDs 2 yrs SWAC, 1 tr PAC 10, 1 yr Big 12
Dart 74 sacks, 1543 yards rushing 14 TDs. 1 yr PAC 10, 3 yrs SEC

There was once a time when it was the norm for a young QB to sit out year 1, even the guys drafted high. This wouldn’t be the worse thing for us if he ends up having to sit and watch early on. There’s a lot to learn from the sideline.

That said, I’d be shocked if we took a QB at 9 and didn’t allow him to “win” a faux QB competition in camp.
