FF7 was the reason I bought a PS1. FFX was the reason I bought a PS2. The PS3 was actually the first one I bought that I didn't have a FF in mind.

I traded it in within a day.

I do like RPGs, I grew up on Zork, I mudded for years with Toril & Sojourn that were the *literal* predecessors to Everquest through to WoW.

We *typed* live action combat commands. Real time.


Stop-action combat is a boil on the *** of gaming.

Well, the SNES ones were the "classics" to me. But, when Squaresoft decided to use CD's with Sony, it ended my relationship with Nintendo.

Nintendo had a 1800 number to call if you got stuck in a game and couldn't figure out what to do next. I called it once but I can't recall the game I asked about.
