Puca Nacua…. (1 Viewer)

Rams are force feeding the ball to the guy and thats probably not sustainable. Not a knock on the guy but with limited weapons, he's going to see more and more attention from defenses as the season progresses.

He's definitely a late round gem though. Not just any guy could step into the Cooper Kupp role and be, well... Cooper Kupp. Even if its for a short stretch.

So think abou it: The Rams kept going to Puca, something we NEVER did with Shaheed last year. Imagine that.
Agreed on the Shaheed comment. We were stupid with how we used him. He would have 1 electric play a game (or every other game), and that was it for him, we wouldn’t go back to him. It was infuriating then, and after reading your comment, it’s infuriating now.

It’s not like we had a ton of weapons at Jameis/Dalton’s disposal, we just did a crap job of giving Shaheed room to grow.

As for if Puka’s success is sustainable, who knows? Did anyone see Kupp going 62/869/5 his rookie year? Or Anquan Bolden going for 101/1,377/8 in his rookie year? Kupp will come back, and Nakua’s stats will come back to earth, but here and now Stafford is building a chemistry with the young wide receiver that will carry on through the season.
