The Broncos reportedly offered the #9 overall pick, a 3rd round pick, and QB Drew Lock to the Lions in exchange for QB Matthew Stafford. The Lions ultimately decided to take the Rams offer instead, but it is clear that the Broncos are open to dealing this young signal caller...
Lock has a huge arm and a great deal of untapped potential as a young QB. He also hasn’t exactly been “coached up” during his time in Denver (or at Mizzou for that matter).

The Broncos have also been mentioned as a team that would be highly interested in a high-end boundary CB, and Denver would love to get their hands on Marshon Lattimore... Lattimore is entering his 5th year option season in 2021, and will be a FA following next season. If the Saints feel that Lattimore will be too difficult or expensive to sign to a long term contract, he could be dangled in an offer to the Broncos.

What would you think if the Saints were to pull a trade with the Broncos to something in the tune of...

Broncos get: Marshon Lattimore and the Saints 2021 1st round pick (#28)

Saints get: Broncos 1st round pick (#9 overall), Broncos 2nd round pick, and QB Drew Lock.

Thoughts on Lock?

I'd say that Loomis has lost his mind and it's time to replace him.

Seems pretty stupid to trade him now after the year Jeudy and Fant had.

They were also the 13th best rushing offense.

He only got sacked 19 times in 13 games this year which is still fairly low.

Cortland Sutton only played in one game.

He had a 64% completion % with sutton. Only 57% without him.

His short-to-intermediate accuracy is better than Winston's but then he also had a better receiving TE than Winston ever had (Fant) as well.

He projects much better for the screen game than Winston or Hill.

If they don't keep Winston I could see the sense but he isn't someone I'd go out of my way to trade for otherwise.

No way in hell can I see Denver agree to that deal. If they did the FO and Coaching staffs should be tarred and feathered then run out of town at the end of a pointy stick.

What is with this thing lately on trading Lattimore? Especially for getting so little in return. We must have forgotten the nearly decade of having one of the worst secondaries in the league to wanna cast one of our defensive staples aside. For Drew Lock???

They say he's pretty bad at deep passing.

But is the hardest in the league to sack

Captain checkdown caliber, efficient short but struggles in the long ball

THAT doesn't sound familiar, does it? LOL

U meant to say.
For drew freaking Lock"

He throws almost as many TDs as interceptions. How's is he different than the the guy who's been in New Orleans a year And can throw it for more than 5000 yards in a season without, as you say, "coaching up"?

To be fair, Brees's stats were nearly identical to Lock's in his second year.

17 tds, 16 ints, 76 qb rating.

In fact, Brees was pretty bad until the light went on in year 4.

So little? The OP's proposal would be a swap of a late 1st for a top 10 first and 2nd plus a possible QB in return for a very good DB that could possibly be replaced with the early 2nd pick and would be cheaper cap wise.

Pretty sure you could get lock for a 4th or a 5th at this point without Lattimore.
