Questions about Jenkins INTs. (1 Viewer)

Dropping balls is more mental than physical. I don't think he can work out his hands to make them catch better. lol

I don't see how you can say he has "hands of stone". Harper has "hands of stone".

How many chances do you think he has had this year and dropped easy interceptions?

I honestly can't remember one.

He caught the one vs the Vikings (an incredible play actually) but was barely out of bounds (ran from about 25 yards away on a dead run to catch it).

Anybody care to explain the thinking here? His interception last year vs Tampa was maybe the best of the entire season in the NFL.

And I don't remember him dropping a 3rd interception in the Rams game. Maybe I missed that one.

You don't remember the beginning of the season when someone on the Saints team yelled "No catching M***** Fork**" at him? It was kinda funny actually. He was dropping them like flies earlier this season. And that WASN'T funny.

He's steadily been improving, but he really had the dropsies earlier in the season.

I was more talking about the exercises like the handkerchief one that Devery was doing to help him. There ARE things coaches can do to help the dropsies.

He is learning fast and what people forget is that he is only 26 games into his career, he has not been starting long and he has even switched positions in that time.
Jenkins has 3 picks in 26 career games, Sharper only had 2 picks in his first 30 games... and only had 5 total in his first 46 games before breaking out in his fourth season. Just watching how well he is adapting to the position, the instincts he shows, and the physical tools he has we have a whole lot to look forward to at the FS position in years to come.

1st INT was a cover 2. The CB let the WR go to MJ. Bad play design plus bad throw plus good play on MJ's part equals TD for us. He did what he was supposed to do on the first one and covered the WR. If that had been the Saints running that same play, it would have been a TD because Drew would've threw the pass to the back shoulder. That's the difference in Drew and Bradford.

Look forward to hearing the answer to your 2nd question. Seemed like he wasn't 20 yards behind the line of scimmage all day yesterday.

I went to the Cincy game last Sunday, 1st i've seen in person in years and I was amazed how far off the ball both our FS's lined up off the ball...
