Raccoons (1 Viewer)

One time I was at the Audubon Zoo and looking at a raccoon enclosure and out of nowhere this groundskeeper walks up to me and was like "We've got ten times more of the damn things running around the property than in there." He was legitimately pissed. Then he got in his cart and sped away.

I'll never forget how much that man hated raccoons and how mystified he seemed that they warranted a zoo exhibit.

Raccoon feces is super toxic.

They have decided our backyard is their playground. Except we just put $15k into the backyard alone for landscaping. I’ll be damned if they eff that up.

So I grab the Red Ryder I got my son and perch in the kitchen. A couple of well placed BBs have them in other backyards than mine.

No regrats

The raccoons have escalated. They’re now getting in the pool - and mocking my motion-triggered flood light. First it was just one but now there’s a group.

I set the Ring cam to announce “Hi, you are being recorded”, we’ll see if it works.

They are mad you don't have a Bermuda ledge in the pool.

I don't think they care about being ID'd.

Clearly, you need to move into the city.

Kill them all.

I despise raccoons.

One winter they literally took over the apartment complex I was in. I lived on the third floor and one morning I thought my downstairs neighbor was aggressively packing, but it was them tearing the roof off.

They'd strut around above my head like they were supposed to be there. When I came home late, I'd turn on my high beams and chase them around the parking lot until they dove off into a catch basin.

I'd sit right in front of it and they'd take turns peeping out to see if I was still there.

I can still hear that wonderful sound of the trap in my attic slamming shut and their fat arses struggling to get out.

I hate raccoons.

Racoons killed one of my cats and I became deadly angry. My ex got angry that I was planning on sitting on the porch with my 12 gauge. She said it made too much noise. I countered with a cross-bow. She was apparently still pissed off at my desire to kill them all. Vengeance is a strange thing.

Feeding wild raccoons around her home had seemed harmless enough, if odd, for one woman in the north-west for 35 years – until about 100 of them surrounded her home and demanded food.

The woman, who has not been named, was essentially trapped in her home near Poulsbo, Washington, and scared as the animals can be aggressive. She called the sheriff’s office, saying the raccoons were around her place day and night after their population “exploded” about six weeks ago.

“Somehow, the word got out in raccoon land and they all showed up to her house expecting a meal,” Kevin McCarty, a spokesperson for the Kitsap county sheriff, told local NBC station 9News.

He sent deputies to help the woman.

“They were shocked. They had never seen that many raccoons in one place. Nobody ever remembers being surrounded by a swarm of raccoons. This was a first,” he told the TV station.……

Who gave the raccoons smart phones and loaded it with social media?
