Pete Carroll is a good coach, but he's also not a long term solution because of his age. But he should get things in order with the Raiders more than any other coach could outside of maybe Mike McCarthy.

If the Cowboys are really hiring Schottenheimer, then we're the only ones left without a head coach. Pretty wild since we were the first to have an opening. And as of this posting, we've only had an in person interview with Rizzi. At least we get our pick of the rest, I guess.

Pete is the reason I blow off the opinion of folks who say “college coaches can’t make it as NFL coaches”. The man bucked a perceived trend.

Carroll and Spags. Two names I wouldn't have expected to be reading in association with jobs in 2025. As the old furniture commercial in N.O. used to say, "Let 'em have it!" Same for Glenn with the drama-laden Jets. Let him have it!

As posters have already said, the team now has a clear choice in front of it -- McCarthy, Brady or Kafka. The choice there will determine the future of KK as well.

Based on his track record, I'm not entirely sure why we didn't at least interview Pete Carroll or why he wasn't more in demand. His age I guess?

I'm better with Carroll going to the Raiders over the Cowboys. Not sure if he can make a difference with the Raiders, but felt he would have made a huge impact with the Cowboys. Not sure why, just a gut feeling. And I kind of like the Cowboys being insignificant.

I just said a little while ago that the Raiders were going to end up hiring someone off the wall and would be a non-factor in our coaching search…I’d say this qualifies.
