Raising Cane's moving most of corporate operations (3 Viewers)

Slow day at work, Eh Kev...........:ezbill:

I had no idea Raising Canes had moved their corporate offices here to Planabrah.

This should make it easier for me to pitch a suggested new slogan, an idea I got from Papa John's:

"Overrated...overpriced......Raising Canes"

:nono:

"Always fresh, never frozen, never seasoned, Raising Canes"

that's the one i always use to get under the skin of canes fans

This is a little disgusting that they have left LA.....it makes me not want to eat it any more.....and I enjoy Canes...sellouts....totally forgot about this

I've come to a conclusion. It's us. Not them. This can be applied to virtually every business that has left Louisiana for greener pastures. We don't create good business environments.

i can definitely understand this point of view.. seems to happen a lot.

but there is truth in this statement.

Maybe if many of these companies that have moved out of state had stayed we would have a better business environment.

Why do you think they leave? Just for fun? Our local government, especially in BR and New Orleans make things exceedingly difficult for citizens and businesses alike. Chevron recently moved their operations out of downtown to the northshore. They said it was about storm protection, at least publicly. I have a family member who works fairly high up in their management team. It was all about taxes and government. And we're lucky they didn't leave the area altogether.

That's true....we continue to vote for better days in this state but still fall short to create the environment for a productive business climate. But what do I know....people are making movies down here.....

Our word of the day for today is INCENTIVE

See separate entries at archetype and business model.

If you run a business and the base state's treatment of businesses doesn't sit well with you, are you going to encourage 10 other businesses to join/stay or decide to pack it up and try to base your operations from somewhere else? If you chose the first option anyway (pro tip: it's the wrong answer), and tried to sell those 10 other companies on staying essentially through thick and thin (this is assuming they're contemplating leaving too), you'd get hung up on mid-pitch.
