Draft position is waaaaay overrated. It's not WHERE you draft, it's HOW you draft. However, creating a winning environment is extremely important. Making the playoffs is vastly better than getting a higher draft pick.

Man, that's surprising. I'd like to think our fanbase would overwhelmingly pick playoffs, if we were in this situation.

We've been the team in that situation many times. And I've always wanted a playoff berth over a high draft pick. (of course we always got the high draft pick )And here we're talking about a division championship.

I think a lot of those fans were saying that on TV to show their frustration. I bet a lot of them didn't really mean it.
