This is often why I don't care about media disrespect because SO FREAKING OFTEN once the media is on our side we lay an egg in a game, just like today. Until we CONSISTENTLY put the nails in the coffins of teams and win and win and win and win it all, i don't care about media disrespect.

If Taysom and Mccoy are healthy, we probably win this game something like 20-7. Maybe.

Our defense got TWO turnovers and TWO 4th down stops. This loss wasn't on them. Yes the 3rd and 16 keystone cops moment was embarrassingly and frustratingly bad but if the offense showed up, we would have won today. But if ifs and buts were candy and nuts... etc...

Atlanta is better than we thought.

The Bucs losing to the Broncos was shocking.

Minnesota is LEGIT.

DA should have taken the FG when points were a premium but i still think that was a demonstrably bad spot on 4th, I do believe AK picked up the first. But that's life as a Saints fan, more often than not, we don't get the close calls.

I'm trying not to be frustrated about today's loss as there is SO MUCH football left but each game you can win is SOOOOOO important near the end of the season. I mean, we tied for the record with the division winner but lost due to tie-breakers and missed the playoffs.

Any way, feel free to add your thoughts.

When Grupe’s kick barely made it in, I said “uh oh, we seem a tad off”. The team, whether you say based to injuries or not, just seemed off today. With that said, as bad as the offense was, we were in that game until the end. A bad team, loses today 45-17 or 28-3

😆 🤣 anything possible I guess Carolina defeated Raiders today imagine how they feel. Everyone called them the worst team in the league. Giants won a game and the rams came back on the 49ners.

We were off today for a variety of reasons versus a team that will probably be top 4 in the NFC. They had enough injuries that ours shouldn't have mattered but we kept it close.

I'm absolutely not suggesting that we're the 2006 Saints but there were at least two games that year we didn't have any business winning but pulled out of our butts. Today was almost that day. This team got punched in the face today and showed grit. We'll know what we have when we see how they respond.

I was there and I can tell you we were soundly beaten on the offensive and defensive lines. They were down their best WR and in the 4th quarter down their top 2 WR's. It didn't matter. They just kept pounding us and we didn't fight back.

I kept telling everyone this was a litmus test game for us today. We failed. You knew it was only a matter of time before defensives caught up with us. Let's see what kind of response Kubiak has and what adjustments he makes.

We are woefully short of playmakers. Outside of Kamara and Olave we lack fire power. Shaheed is a feast or famine guy and we saw that today. He's our deep threat and probably is suited to be a #3 or #4. Olave is a 1/2. After that the drop off is evident.

Defensively we made stops when we had to but getting what was effectively 3 turnovers with the block punt and 2 INT's our offense couldn't capitalize. The last play where the TE ran wild down to our 3-4 yard line was just comedy.

The score was not indicative of how badly we were overmatched on the LOS.

I think next week will be a tough one for us. ATL is a scrappy team. Cousins I think is a step or two above Carr. Being that the game is at their yard I think it could be a major challenge for us to go in there and win.

Ugly game today. Time to turn the page tomorrow and adjust our expectations of what this team is and is not.

I echo every one of your thoughts.
Next week is already upon us.

2-1 isn’t a bad place to be In the NFL. Plus the saints have a chance to really send Atlanta into a bit of a tizzy if the win Sunday.

This is the offensive line we were expecting before the season started - but for different reasons. The starting 5 had time to gel by knowing, understanding, and practicing in the blocking scheme. They were thrown for a major loop when McCoy went down - two players were new to positions - Patrick moving to center and Udoh to left guard. The left side had been rock solid with Fuaga and Patrick. Let's see how bad the McCoy injury is and how they reshuffle the line this week. I think with a week of practice together, the line will look better next Sunday than it did today (if McCoy is out) - maybe not quite as solid as weeks 1 and 2, but better than today. Some sustained drives that put points on the board will go a long way in keeping the defense rested.

This loss was not about being too high or getting noticed or not having playmakers. It was about facing adversity in a game and not being able to make good adjustments. It was about not being prepared for McCoy getting injured.

I was at the Dome today as well and I agree 1000% that our O-Line & D-Line got manhandled.

Rasheed is my second favorite player and he dropped some passes that hit both his 👋🏽 👋🏽 ...he has to do better!!!

Now Kamara (my favorite player) came to play as always didn't disappoint.

Outside of Kamara & Olave no one else stepped up. I think we need to focus on TE and Offensive line in next year's draft 🤔

Cedric Wilson is NOT it; we need a different WR in his spot.

We "must" beat Atlanta who is playing gritty football. We will have to play through adversity to determine our identity.

Remember true champions overcome adversity, we will have to come-from-behind to win some games this season are we built for those moments is the real question!

Beating div winners really helps come seeding time, that's the downside to this one. Sunday can't come fast enough.
